28 August 2011, Los Angeles, CA - The women ruled the kingdom for the "2011 MTV Video Music Awards" broadcast live tonight from the Nokia Theatre LA Live.
For 2011 Video Music Awards went mostly smoothly, with a few minor snafus handle most off-camera. If you missed it or care to relive the highlights, we have the videos to come, including Gaga performs "You and I", and Dave Grohl is the reminder that the Rock 'n Roll lives on.
In the meantime, here are some video highlights from the 2011 Video Music Awards. As you can see most of the best of what the night had to offer came in the form of performances. Lady Gaga opened the show as his alter ego Joe Calderon. She puffed a cigarette, cracked a beer and at one time may have slipped off the stage. She also sounded great singing "You and I", while Brian May Queen, accompanied her on guitar.
When she was on stage, she had a glass, supposedly of whiskey, I also like a glass of Cordon Bleu, while capture rates at the MTV Asia office at Lorong Chuan in the morning. Genre and gender-defying Lady Gaga kicked the night, as her alter ego Joe Calderon with a show-stopping performance of "You and I" and later walked away with two VMAs for "Best Female" and a new category "Best Movie with a message".
